Wow Jake!
Really really nice work! Really nice style and line work! 5 starts mate!
Here few things :
1- The top hand looks a bit wierd, I guess is the pose, and the shadows on pants look less saturated compared to the t-shirt.
2- The t-shirt looks too shiny isn't it? I guess those strong highlights doesn't help 
3- Awesome  this is the best design and drawing for me. Nothing to say

i have added your crits to my list. te hand looks wrong in the first one because the thumb is on the wrong side!!! silly me 
i am thinking of re working he second one a bit to give it a cleaner look. you are right about those highlights: i was thinking of a PVCish sort of look but i think it would be better as cloth.
