Thanks jake!
Every torso I feel more confortable doing it.
Is a good exercice to do it.
When I finish with torsos I'll start doing faces. Right now is my weak part

A new one
I know something on his belly is wrong, but I can't find what's wrong
Any advice?
Thanks mates!

hey mate i have started doing some of these. will put em at lunch.
its hard to crit the drawing, i would say you need more ton on the let side of his belly. it seems odd that it is so dark above the arm and then so light below it. do you have the original to show?

thanks jake!

nice one with the recent one pere. i would say that the main issue with the one you want help with is that there is not enough structure to it.
i wuld think more in terms of the 3d shapes of the figure and how they interact.
there is a real sense of twist in the sculptures abdomem that your painting just is not getting across.
the advice that rebecca gives on the cgchat site is good: think across the form. she provides illustration on what she means too.
i think you perhaps need to analyse more and copy less: try and get a real sense of what the forms are doing (picture them in 3d in your head) and try and get that down on your images.
great to see yo doing these, they are improving your skills a lot i think.

Thanks jake for your help!
You're right I'm copying and I'm not thinking about the structure. I'll try to keep in mind the next one Thanks jake!
I'll try to do a "3D blockout" of the torso, I think is gonna help to understand more the basic structure.
Lets see what happens tomorrow
