i think you could help things a lot more with some compositional tweaking,
here's one i made earlier

a bit of forced perspective could help, also maybe overlap the characters a bit more?

girls 2, 3 and 5 are great but girl 4 seems really off balance and girl 1 just seems a little lifeless compared to the others ( she could have the head under her arm like a bastketball?)

Looks nice so far Jake - think I might suggest adding something else to indicate that they're killers, other than the pompom heads - feels like there's more in the way of design work you could do to them.

Seems like you're making life a bit difficult for yourself by having five characters in the image - if it were me, I'd at least get rid of a couple of them, just so you can focus on the main character a bit more...

i agree with all the previous crits!
lose girls 1 and 4, and also i'd suggest making the main girl a bit more prom and less cheerleader. the two girls could then be her cheer support kill team, but she'll be more distinguished as the promqueen.
