nice picture pere, like the castle in the backround works really well! As for any changes I would say a few of your vertical lines are off, most noticble with the house of the left. Also the ground between the house and the castle seems slanted, not quite what you would aspect to see, perhaps a few rows of bushes and trees going back would help? thou thats a small crit. Also the clouds seem to be at the same distance as the castle, perhaps lighting them would reinforced the depth in the picture. but other than that its a great picture, nice atmosphere! |

really nice work pere, massive progression!!
i think its all working really well. i think that adding a point of contrast in the foreground might help quite alot. perhaps have a lit window in the closest house. it should be bright compared to the foreground but be any where near as bright as the sky behind the castle. i would also put a splash of light from the window onto the really dark patch of floor in the foreground.
the houses could be pushed more tonally too. i think that you need to think more about the light and dark sides of them. at the moment the sides are very close tonally to the fronts. i would either lighten the fronts or darken the sides to make them read more in 3d space.
iw ould pick out some detail work on the house roofs too: little bits of reflected light from the moon and such like.
really impressed mate cant wait to see it finished. |

Thanks for your coments mates!
Yes, there are a few problems with the prespective and the pice between the the last house and the castle could be more "natural" like you said Pete, with bushes and stuff like that
Thanks Jake
This is my fist environment that I can see something good
Yes, I know, right know there are no shadows and the atmospheric depth is null.
I need to add more stuff, right now is an empty town and if I add a few elements it would be more "alive".
Cool idea about the rooftop highlights mate! I'll do it
I will post the final version as soon as I finish it
Thanks a lot for your help guys! I really apreciate it! |

good progress pere. i just did a five minute overpaint on the new one: just playing with the tonal relationships etc. hope you dont think its rude, just find it easier than typing.
i think its looking really cool mate. when i opened it in photoshop i was VERY impressed: a lot of the detail isnt appreciatable in the browser. i would take out some of the highlights on the building, there are a few to many and it makes it look fussy.
really impressed mate. well done!!

Thanks you jake for the overpaint!!
Yes, the atmospheric depth is quite wrong. The problem is that I started this painting in the wrong way, and I should paint the atmospheric depth in the first part.
The next one I'll try to set the depth as soon as I start.
Your overpaint looks cool, I'll try at home to make few changes as you said.
Thanks Jake I really apreciate it!
